1. Data Storage Architecture

Zero Remote Retention: SubDebt Manager does not transmit or store your personal or financial data on external servers or databases. Because all records are stored exclusively within the sandboxed local storage of your Android device, you have immediate, unilateral control over the deletion of your data without needing to submit a support ticket.

2. How to Permanently Delete Your Data

You can delete your data using any of the three methods below:

Method 1: Direct In-App Reset (Recommended)

  1. Open the SubDebt Manager app on your Android device.
  2. Tap the Settings gear icon on the navigation bar.
  3. Scroll down to the Data Management section.
  4. Tap Erase All Data.
  5. Confirm your biometric or PIN verification prompt.
  6. All subscriptions, debts, transactions, receipt photos, and preference records are permanently purged immediately.

Method 2: Android System App Settings

  1. Open your device's Settings app.
  2. Navigate to Apps (or Apps & Notifications).
  3. Locate and tap SubDebt.
  4. Tap Storage & Cache.
  5. Tap Clear Storage (or Clear Data).
  6. All internal database keys, local cache files, and receipt images will be permanently erased.

Method 3: Uninstalling the Application

Uninstalling SubDebt Manager triggers the Android operating system to remove the application's isolated sandboxed storage directory. Once uninstalled, all recorded financial data is destroyed and cannot be recovered unless you previously exported a JSON backup.

3. What Data Is Deleted?

Executing any of the deletion methods above completely destroys:

  • All recorded transaction histories and spending categorizations.
  • All subscription entries, payment amounts, and billing cycle timers.
  • All peer debt and loan records, due dates, and settlement logs.
  • All attached receipt photos stored in application storage.
  • All custom currency selections, card theme preferences, and biometric toggle states.

4. Data Retention Period

Because data is not synchronized to remote cloud servers:

  • Local Data: Retained on your device until you choose to delete it or uninstall the app.
  • Server Data: 0 days. We do not store, retain, or process copies of your financial records on any external server at any time.

5. Contacting Developer Support
